WHAT STUDENTS TAKE AWAY
CPR technique
Students practise CPR in VR and learn the mechanics somewhere a mistake carries no cost.
Staying composed
The simulation puts students in a stressful scene deliberately, so keeping a clear head becomes something they have already done once.
Practical resilience
Active listening, clear notes and calling for help are practised alongside the technique, so students know what to do before help arrives.
ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
Mindflight7 introduces students to the vital importance of first aid and CPR through an engaging interactive VR experience. This incursion serves as a captivating introduction to the significance of learning CPR and provides an opportunity to simulate stressful scenarios through the safety of virtual reality.
During this unique experience, students not only learn about the technical aspects of CPR but also cultivate fundamental skills like active listening, respect for others, and maintaining composure under pressure.
The program guides students in taking effective notes, immersing themselves in VR CPR practice, and honing their ability to remain patient and composed while seeking assistance in challenging moments. By combining theoretical knowledge with immersive practice, Mindflight7 equips students with essential abilities and emotional resilience needed in real-world situations.
"The Mindflight7 crew were great to work with. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. We organised a one-hour incursion for some of our most disengaged Year 9 students. The individual and personalised nature of the experience promoted excellent engagement and work-related skills for the future. I have no hesitation in recommending Mindflight7 as an engaging and meaningful pathway experience for students."
